A friend of mine sent me this forward a while back.. It had a few pictures of the Gateway Peace March that was held on Dec 3rd..

Seeing the people and the banners, the hate that was being directed at the politicians was obvious…

I can’t help echoing the sentiment..

The fact that those dogs are using the Mumbai tragedy as an election pitch is enraging, to say the least…

But, there are a few things I still don’t understand… Like..

1. What is the use of all these politicians quitting on ‘moral grounds’?

For one, that is going to do absolutely nothing !! Maybe an even more incompetent idiot will get elected to the post..

All the fuss that we are seeing will last maybe three months.. And then what??

Back to square one?? India is open for business to terrorists??

Now, I’m not exactly sympathising with them..

I respect a politician as much as I respect chicken shit that is ten days old, and has been trodden underfoot several times…

But.. How do you expect the politicians to be responsible if they have the license toquit and run at the first sign of trouble??

2. What is the purpose of politics??

What exactly do we gain from letting these dogs loose on our streets..??

Is there a gain?? Do we get anything useful from the endless trash talking that goes on between the opposing sides?

Why can’t we have a system that elects the truly deserving to the posts that matter..

What system is capable of doing that??

3. Does one have to subscribe to an ideology to serve his/her country?

If I want to help govern this country, is it imperative that I be a Hindu extremist, or a Communist, or whatever.. Can’t I just believe in what I believe in?

Why is it that only if you join hands with a really big political organisation will you be able to play true power politics??

I know, have seen, and heard of politicians who have criminal records.. Murders, rapes, and what not..

Are these the people who we are banking on to run our country?

If it is, then be prepared to witness more carnage..

4. Why old men??

I read a survey which stated that 41% of India’s population is made up of the youth community..

Then how come our country is run by old, corrupted, and clueless old men??

Victims of the system again?

You have to spend years getting corrupted by the system, so that you can hold an office of power, and stand to gain from it??

Whatever may be the problems and the plausible solutions, one thing can nobody dispute is the fact that this country is surely in a pitiable state.. India shining?? Yeah right, more like India Burning…

How are we expected to compete with the super powers if nothing is done??
