I am infected with the unconference virus. I am attending and conducting unconferences. And every announcement of a new unconference excites me, no matter whether its related to technology or not. My recent interest is in the Filmcamp.
The moment I got to know about FilmCamps, I went to their website and called up Sanjay Nambiar who organizes the event. I wanted to invite him to Kerala for conducting a camp in Kerala. But he has already planned his next camp in Cochin.
Now my unusual interest in unconferences of all sorts made me thinking. If you take a look at the unconferences happening in bangalore, chennai etc, you can see that there are many common attendees, no matter what the theme of the event is.
Now are they attending this because they want to learn, or are they attending this only because of the networking opportunity that unconferences give. ?
Right now I am also thinking about my take away from unconferences. Am I really that interested in all these sessions happening at all these unconferences ??? Or am I trying to escape from my laptop, infront of which I spend 18hrs a day.
Whats is your takeaway ? Is it knowledge or is it the social life ?
