“Blogcamp in Kerala !!!!!!!! Seriously. ”
This is the response I got from many when I talked to them about conducting a blogcamp in Kerala. Kerala, the Gods own Country produces the best people. But there is a small problem. None of them are here. They all go out of state and out of the country to work. No wonder the world is progressing very fast and we are slow to catch up. All our best brains are outside.. na.
We did 3 barcamps in Kerala in a time span of 4 months. One of the camps was a management barcamp for the MBA students. They really loved the concept of being totally informal about their totally formal subjects. All the three were zero budget events, attended only by fully motivated people. Still we managed to get a crowd of 80 for all the 3 events.
The students in Kerala are also catching up to the fever of unconferences. They are organizing half day events called Junior barcamps, which are venues for students to present their stuff with their peers.
Now its time for us to do a larger event. A blogCamp. An event with presence of bloggers from all over the country. If you want to be a part of organsing this join this group.
