The Master Coder Sajith MR is back with a cool Wordpress Plugin now. The plugin will show your page rank on every post. You can see the plugin working here in this post itself.
Many of the bloggers have higher page ranks for their internal pages or posts than the home page. Most of the times we dont recognise this. With this plugin installed, not only you, but the whole world can see the power of your pages.
Download the Wordpress plugin to show page rank on every page .

In the future Ill have a cell phone that will be capable of doing all following.
- Receive AM, FM and all other sorts of radio
- Connect to GSM, CDMA, and any other network technology
- Receive and decode satellite video
- Receive and decode terrestrial TV transmission
- Be my wifi and wimax transceiver
This is all that I can think of now. The point is that your cellphone will become a universal communication device that can handle any communication technology. If some new technology developed, all you need is to upgrade the software, just like we upgrade linux or windows. This is what software defined radio has in store for us.
In SDR the emphasis is on creating a universal hardware for receiving signals, and then do all the processing on a software platform which So if tomorrow a new communication protocol is invented, all you need to do is, upgrade your software.
More than the end user, the immediate benefits of SDR is to a service provider, like your cell phone service provider. He incurrs a huge cost in upgrading all his equipments when a better technology is released. But with this system, he can use a universal transmission system which can be upgraded to handle any technology just by upgrading the software. This will save the serivce provider a lot of money, and also will result in better customer experience.

Hey Guys - I am writing a post after a long time. This time I got my hands on Ubuntu Linux.
Ubuntu Linux is the Best Desktop Solution from linux that I have ever seen. You can download Ubuntu Linux from www.ubuntu.com . Installation is very smooth - it boot into a live desktop before you start installation - from which you can check out most of the installed S/W. Even after you have started the Installation, it asks you very few questions - the keyboard type - region - how do you want to partition the hard drive - and finally users and password. The installation almost took an hour.

All the hardware is automatically recognized. But if you want to use the advanced functionality of some of the hardware for which proper linux drivers were not released - you will have to enable restricted drivers. I will come to that later, but first the features that it comes loaded with - Open office Suit -for all your office documents, Firefox - Web Browsing, Evolution - email, Gimp - graphics editing, some games, and a few other standard programs. It comes integrated with Samba - and picks up any windows network in jiffy.
You should not have any problems again with your peripherals like printers and smart phones and cameras, if Ubuntu does not have a driver on it, it will try and search and download by itself. Only if you are using some very rare kind of hardware, is that you will run into trouble.
There is an interesting part in add remove programs under preferences - Restricted download and community maintained download. A lot of current applications and drivers that we use under Windows are copyrighted material. Like for example the DVD - decoding codect or the MP3 codect or some of the drivers for Nvidia Graphics. Since none of the copyright holders are willing give their stuff away for free - somebody sat and decompiled the windows version and wrote a new one for Linux. Once you enable the Restricted and community download - all this is available for automatic download and install.
And if you know how to play around with the configuration files - you can get a lot of other things to work - Like you can download WINE and install - which will allow you to run most of the standard windows programs on Linux (MS Office, Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, NFS), Get your multichannel sound working…
Try it out and leave me your comments…

Its been some weeks since I posted any thing related to technology and my tech readers have started complaining. This is just a starter, I have something else for you. But it needs some time and money. But Im on it.
Now about OovoO, Its a realtime video conferencing tool. Its almost like a yahoo messenger, but specifically built for video conferencing.
OovoO lets you do video conferencing with 6 people simultaneously. All the six will appear in an OoVoO window which gets smaller as you add more and more people.
The interface is really user friendly. Im sure that some good UI experts are behind this project. Even their website is really wonderful.
The video and audio quality is superb, even on a 256Kbps line. The video has no jerks in between and is very smooth compared to other platforms.
OovoO has got call recording capabilities even with the video conferencing. And this is giving me new ideas. Im planning to host expert talks on OovoO involving experts from different fields.
There is no Linux Port of this application and thats really bad. I have to switch to my friends laptop to use OooVoO. I hope they will release a linux version soon.
Download it here
BTW My OoVoO ID is -: kenneyjacob

Widgets and gadgets were something I wanted to try out for quite some time. Its only today that I got a chance. I run the latest Ubuntu 7.10 on my laptop.
To my disappointment I found out that most of the widget platform providers dont support linux. The google gadgets and the yahoo widgets dont support linux.
Some forums talk about another service provider, but his domain is now parked, looks like he went bankrupt.
If anyone knows how to run google gadgets or yahoo widgets on linux, please comment.
