I hope all of you have a Stumbleupon account. If you have not heard of stumbleupon or does not have an account, you should read this post from my friend Derick.
Stumbleupon - The beauty of Sharing
From my own experience, stumbleupon gives you traffic, and that too in large numbers. Some of my posts get around 7K to 10K visits just from stumbleupon, and that too in a week.
When I started using stumbleupon, I had no stumble friends. None stumbled my posts other than me. Then I found a few friends, powerful stumblers. Id send them my post and they will stumble if they like my post. All my good posts with a global appeal gets lots of stumble traffic and the bad ones, or irrelevant ones are ignored.
Coming back to the stumble cult, its a private community of stumblers. Stumblers will get a list of member posts, and they can stumble the ones they like. Similarly, they also can submit their links for others to review and stumble. The cult is a place to get good seed stumbles for your posts.
Check out the cult here - www.stumblecult.com

Techies contribute to the community by opening up the technology details/code. More and more people use it/contribute to it and improve it. The technology gets better day by day as more and more people start contributing. Check out my view on this concept from by previous post - Standing on Shoulders of Giants.
Now whats there in the management world which is similar. How can management guys learn from the community and contribute to it. What can they contribute which is equivalent to the code contributed by techies. Im not an MBA guy, but Ill try to find some things form my experience with the management guys.
What about market study ? Can we have a repository of market studies like we have code repositories. Will any individual or company share the results of market study ?
How about business plans that have worked and havent worked ? Or are they very secretive in nature ?
Having written all these, now im having a strange feeling. Am I asking a stupid question ?

The Viral marketing guy might sound a little bit silly initially, but they have a point. After the marketing disaster of Toyota Prius, the Viral marketing Guru Goth Sedin explains what went wrong and how they could have done it better.
According to him the name Prius is very difficult to pronounce. If I am finding it hard to say a word, Ill avoid the word and the company loses on free word of mouth publicity.
The initial marketing activity will target the environment aware rich crowd who will buy it for the sake of owning an environment friendly expensive car.
The initial 10,000 cars will be in flashy colors. The concept is that everyone must notice is a prius passes by. Flashy colours will ensure that you take a second look. Prius with its classic colors failed in this regard.
