Manorama has once again proved that they care very much for their readers irrespective of their religion. Take a look at the Manorama online astrology here.
They have got instructions for each religion to clear the “Dhosham” due to stars. It even mentions the type of church / temple / mosque that you must go to.
Its really pathetic that we still have got readers for this.
Pen is mightier that the sword and and we let the Manorama and similar types wield that sword at our heads every day morning.

For one thing, Secularism is something people talk, not walk.
For another, I guess it is not much to ask papers publishing such ‘future prediction’ columns to include a disclaimer saying ‘These are worthless speculations and need not be true at all’.

Hi Kenney,
This one is truly secular. Once it was believed that Hindus are only interested in Jyothisham even though some others also used to. Now we are seeing lot of jyothishis, swamis, mullas and pastors promoting many types of divine poojas, talismans, dhyanams etc.etc.With the help of these ashrams and divine centres, it has become an industry (million dollar?). So Manorama has to do their bit by making jyothisham truly secular so that business is multipled by the help of minority masses too. So dosha pariharam will include visiting mosques, churches and chanting of available mantras from bible or quran etc also.
Thank you for sharing this valuable piece of enlightenment with a secular and ignorant malayali like me who never read forecasts. From now on i would start reading.

Malayala Manorama is a newspaper.
Newspaper needs more readers to increase advertisement revenue.
So they print what the readers want.
Anything unusual ?

@bnu
Nothing unusual in that.
What is unusual and PATHETIC is
when it’s considered the “hallmark” or “mukhamudra” of Malayalam and Kerala.
It’s such a shame. At least for us, the ones who feel that way.
