Let us Live!
In today’s economy it is mandatory for a women to work. But from the time she steps out of her house there are thousands of visible and invisible evils waiting to attack her. Most of us don’t even tell it to our family considering it is shameful or just a usual thing. Come friends let us share our thoughts and try to find out a way to get out of this.I would like to share a song of a crying women
I have only one request.
I do not ask for money Although I have need of it,
I do not ask for meat . . .I have only one request,
And all I ask is
That you remove
The road block
From my path

i didnt get it!!

Insible road blocks, here are examples:-
1. If a girl drinks – “Why do you want to imitate Western Culture?”, “Loose
morals”
If a guy drinks – “Not good for health, try to control”, “May be it is
ok occasionally”, “Attending retreat at Potta may be a good idea!”, “Gem
of a man except for occasional drinking!”
2. Guys congregate in Indian Coffee House – “Need to relax after work”
Girls congregate in Indian Coffee House – “What the hell?”
3. Finally the mentality embodied by the age old saying from Malayalam that
goes like this- “If the leaf falls on the thorn or the thorn falls on the
leaf, it is the leaf that is hurt at the end”
Indeed there are privileges the women have that are denied to men (reserved seats in buses to start with!). But still the scales are tilted heavily against the women.

Women has endured a lot…but road blocks are not to be cleared for us but to be cleared by ourselves. You must believe that you are a woman who is capable to achieve anything and nothing is impossible for you…clear the blocks using your own little ways!
