Your story had a happy ending because of blog power. SBI engages people with overdues for 6 months. I better be wary of disconnecting the BSNL jodi SIM and a broadband connection. We better start demanding an 'outstanding charges waived' when we terminate a connection. I guess this 'overdue' thing is going out of hand. This may be a new low-risk method to earn ~300. Anyone at the recieving end of such an attack should make it clear "I am not intimidated and I am aware of the bluffs you frequently call" Do write about this too. Wow.
