The Skoda Yeti is a 4X4 SUV meant more for off road use than as a mud licking monster. The Yeti is pretty much like the concept which was showcased in the Geneva Motor show. The Yeti is based on the Skoda Ocatavia 4X4. The SUV will be little more beefed by the time of its launch and more plastic body moldings. The height is plenty which creates enough headroom. The legroom at the rear and front is plenty and compliments the headroom well giving it a true SUV interior.

There’s a 410-litre boot, which expands to a huge 1,760-litres when the seats are laid down. The dashboard has a lot in common with the Superb and therefore has a solid look and feel even in off road conditions without any rumbling The HAldex clutch can manipulate torque to individual axils very well. The 140hp 2.0 TDI diesel, which had plenty or torque for overtaking and can negotiate of road conditions well.Skoda expects more of 4X2 variant to be sold The front wheel drive is available with a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol or 110hp 2.0 TDI diesel unit.A hill decent system and off road setting make it a true of road campaigner.

Four-wheel drive variants will offer the diesel engine in 140hp or 170hp  and additional 1.8-litre turbo petrol will also be available. A six-speed manual and DSG gearbox will be available to pick from.
