Maruthi Suzuki recently Ritz in the B+ segment. Positioned between A-star and Swift the car offers another choice for the Indian market. The car is launched in five variants with three in petrol and two in diesel giving the customer a plethora of choices. The car confirms to BS IV and OBD-I compliance very much before its official implementation in the country.

It is the first EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility and ELV(End of Life Vehicle) compliant vehicle in the country. The makers have also made it E10 compliant enabling to run  on ethanol blended fuel.A brand new 1.2 Litre K12M Petrol engine and the 1.3 DDiS Diesel power-plant offering optimum performance and fuel efficiency are at the heart of Ritz’s technology. The fuel efficiency varies from 17.7 in the petrol model to to 21.1 in the diesel model. With a high ground clearance of 170 mm the company has definitely given a thought for the Indian Roads. The huge frame is no dampener for a turning radius of 47 meters.

The all aluminium engine has been made even lighter with the usage of more palstic parts. The exteriors are also well shaped giving it a solid look. With dual tone instrument panel console, high roof giving a sense of openess ,mounted gear shift lever etc the car has brought in some refreshing changes to the overall concept of car interior design. The car seems to be well thought out overall but with lot of offerings from other makers over the same segment will it stand up to the customers demands?

@Anand I20 is totally a strange proposition from Hyundai, a BIG car with small engine.Anyday Ritz will beat I20 interms of pricing. But I20 is a big and rich car with cool, clean looks

    4. i20 has good interiors and safety features which interest me. The goes with my kind of thing. But the engine is underpowered as i read from other reviews. I am so confused.

    5. I was told that Ritz skids some times even at 60 KMPH. Have any Ritz Owners experienced it? Or it is just a rumour? Or some heard similar comments from Authentic sources?

I am planning to buy Ritz? I like its shape better than Swift and I feel driving more comfortable and feel more safe in Ritz?

    6. Is it money worth vehicle. Experts say skiding is ther even in average speed ! Why should an optional has give to avoid skiding?

    7. Ritz diesel is the best hatchback in the country. Its mileage is as high as 21 kmpl. The interiors are comfortable and plenty of room for heads and legs. The engine is zippy, well proven and is suitable for short city rides and long highway trips too. Maruti Ritz is a winner on all fronts
