Hey, I cant comment whether this googleblacksearch is just a fake admania or not..But I use blackle.com for the same reasons as mentioned by google team to u..And blackle too is powered by Google Custom Search

Somebody forwarded this to me also… but then someone else replied to the forward by saying that Black consumes less power only on some computers. If the system config is different it consumes more power…

For all I know, I don’t think the mail is genuine. And the benefits of Blackle are not so straightforward. http://davidkpark.wordpress.com/2007/08/02/blackle-is-it-a-scam/ has the details (in short, it may cause more energy consumption if you are using a LCD monitor)

This “energy saving” bullS%^% it true only for CRT monitors. How many use CRT monitors? Infact LCD monitors need more power to display a black pixel than a white one.
It will be good if you can avoid forwarded emails as posts

world is getting too much energy cautious. This is just another attempt by smart people to make money out of it. The email is roaming around for mor than two years, but global warming continues!
