What’s Happening To This World
Last Week Rashid asked me a question “Why????????? Whoever you talk to, whomever you contact, in whichever part of this world, all they have to say is that “life is just moving on; nothing special; and yea, it’s boring!!” – What’s happening to this world??
Now I have an answer for this. This problem has mainly two reasons. The first one I see is that usually people ask the question, “How are you” just as a conversational starting bit and I guess the right answer for this question is “There is nothing special”. The older generation had a solution for this. They ask “how are you” and the reply would be “I’m fine. Thank you. And how are you?” I think people should practice a little more the usage of phrases like “I’m Fine”.
The second and more important reason for this is that the expectation level of all normal people, especially the working youth, about their life has grown so high. No one around the globe, including multibillionaires, is able to achieve it. This upward spiraling level of expectations could be caused by the media, particularly their advertisements, by the illusions of the movie sets, and the numerous inspirational write-ups that raise false hopes.
When I asked George Aimer of the UK about this problem, he told me, “This is an interesting case!! Lots of the younger people around globe say that they are bored. Yet there is more to do now than at any other time in history. Perhaps there is too much choice for everyone and they all think their life would be better if they were elsewhere. Methinks advertisements, movies and television plus the internet, although great inventions, wrestle with our minds creating unrest at times.
People often ask me for my suggestions and any silver bullet solution for this. I must say the solution for this would be the volunteered acceptance of life as it is, and loving the way life goes on. People should learn how to live in low profile. They need to understand that every Warren Buffet had a bad time back in his younger days.
So, lets cheer ourselves and answer, “My life is rocking the way it is” when someone asks us, “How is life moving along?”.
What do you think?

“Human beings are essentially not rational beings, but only rationalizing beings”.. Your last sentence seems to be an absolute testimony of that..

The quest for the BBD (what i call the Bigger Better Deal) is what i hypothesize is the essential cause of the phenomena that you just brought up now. The panacea lies in finding for ourselves a true identity and purpose that makes each of our lives meaningful. Human society has always been plagued by this. Just that of late, thanks to the myriads of choices to make and the increase in the channels of expression, its quite a lot more heard and discussed about these days. There are choices, and then there are consequences!!

Ya its a kind of rationalizing..
but that includes the way you brush you teeth..
Human being takes the choices accordingly how he is being trained to..

Its all boils down to human perception . You see Not all are sad there are very many who are jumping around in joy people with varied emotions.Speaking on human emotions is like the exit polls they can go wrong generalizing human behaviour is stupid. Life is what we make of it..and being happy or sad depends solely on the individual either he can sit and worry about things around him or bid goodbye to everything thats pestering him and move on…………
