I had this problem with originality and I am sure many of you also have this problem. I have an aversion to duplicate ideas. We look for originality everywhere. But we dont have to be original to be successful. Microsoft has proved it, Director Priyadarshan has proved it and every other “copy cat” business has proved it.

I think being innovative would suffice. The Apple IPod is considered an innovation and not an invention. Its just the art of putting together simple things in the right manner to create something better.

Being innovative is one thing and making money is something else. There are many innovative people with innovative products but unable to create any value out of it.
Apple was not just innovative, but also had the skills to sell it.

I guess thats rightly put Kenney…They sure have one helluva marketing and sales team to achieve just that.
But when Tony Fadell and his wife quit Apple last year, it was indeed a cause of concern for them. Now that Mark Papermaster has joined them, lets see what comes out of the whole debalce.
