Today it was a celebration for our newspapers.Keralite Parvathy Omanakuttan becomes MISS WORLD RUNNERUP.If we look at manorama we can see the picture of her in the front page itself.A miss world competition is given this much importance.
I have a speech of DR.APJ ABDULKALAM to study in my HSE in that he says the Indian medias fails to present good innovative technologies.2 or 3 days back there was a news of E Sridharan that came in the 12th page of manorama.The news was he had won a case against central govt about detaining his pension.He was getting paid only a salary of Rs.4000/- .Then also he had done his job with utmost care without going 4 any strikes.It was in a society where there are strikes 4 getting cold……………………He was the chairman of Delhi metro then also he was ready 2 work 4 such a low salary.This is a gr8 role model 4 the whole nation.
Again I dont know how many of us remember the news that a farmer without any formal education had made a jeep that costs only Rs 65000. This news also came in an inner page.
We have 2 think what is gr8???????? beauty of body or minds?????????????????????????????????
These people are sheeling light into our life&I think medias should show this with prime importance.I’am not under estimating Miss Parvathi but enquiring about how it can benefit ordinary people of our nation.
This is my 1st post in any blog so I reqst you all to help me in improving my blogging………..
Its bcos Parvathy is a Keralite tht the media in Kerala is making such a hue and cry abt it. As u said, we r not underestimating Parvathy for this, but the media. Ofcourse she’s talented and will do great in the coming years. Its high time the media made some sense when reporting news ( atleast in the case of people like Mr. E.Sreedharan and the above mentioned farmer )

sole purpose of this missworld or missexpose..i still cant figure out.. its jst a show off ..well there is nothing to be proud off .. There are plenty of ppl along the indian border,does any one think abt them ..!!
well abt the farmer ,those aspect must be highlighted .. well we can only hope to ..

Almost all newspapers and channels have given utmost importance to the Miss World..not surprising, as almost everybody wants to boost up their sales and TAM ratings..
