This comparison is of significance because, in this world time and money are limited resources. This post is inspired by comments in an earlier post about some things that doesn’t make any sense.
If you want to improve your vocabulary you can do 2 things, start from the page 1 in the dictionary, or read some literature and learn words that you don’t know. In this case, the former is more work and the latter is smart work. Which works better ?
Mukesh Ambani and me works 16hrs a day. He gets paid in crores and I gets paid in thousands. Can that be called Injustice ?
During your engineering days you have a stupid paper coming up, lets say chemistry. Someone dump will take the 1000 page text book and start studying from page 1 and someone smart will use old question papers or use some diligence to learn only important portions and get the exam over with.
In Australia a plumber or an electrician gets more pay than an engineer. It doesn’t matter whether you know more mathematics or you can design an entire house, but the one who knows how to fix the bathroom pipe gets more.
Its not your education, or the amount of time you worked on something that makes you successful (Define success in your own terms). There is no standard scale on which we can measure people, their abilities and compensations.
Finally its comes down to what you want, how you want it and your smartness or ability to see your goals clearly and make appropriate choices to achieve them.

That is so true…smart work is something most people totally neglect saying that its some kind of a workaround…
