Sister Abhaya was found dead in her Convents well on March 27 1992
The Local Police and the Crime Branch Dismissed it as suicide
Following an appeal to the high court by the local people CBI was handed over the charge in March 1993
Deputy Superintendent of CBI Varghese P Thomas Resigned saying that he was pressurized to write off the case as Suicide by his superior V Thiagarajan.
Another local police man destroyed all evidence the police had gathered, including all her personal belongings. (unfortunately that bugger is dead now)
Finally murder was confirmed, but CBI asked the court to close the case due to lack of evidence against murderers.
In 2007 Court enquiry confirms that the chemical examination report of the vaginal swab test was tampered with.
Sister Abhayas Post Mortem report disappears from the Kottayam Medical college. (Fresh Investigations begins)
Narcoanalysis tests of 2 priests and a nun was conducted. But court finds out that CBI tampered with the results.
Quote from the court “There is every reason to suspect that an unseen hand is at work to jettison the truth”
Looking at the chain of events we can easily conclude that “divine intervention” itself is obstructing justice. Looks like GOD himself is trying to save the culprits. May be the culprits are very close friends of the GOD.

You said it, Kenny. The killers are, no doubt, close friends of GOD

^^ ^^ @ Mr. Vijayan, thanks to our judiciary??? God bless ur blind optimism.
By the time our court identifies the culprits, they would be long dead and gone.. And the so-called ‘judiciary’ has failed to put even a single corrupt politician behind bars in these 60 odd yrs… Hah…

It is reported that 13 teams of high ranking detectives were involved in the Abhaya Case during the past sixteen years. Just imagine the money involved in suppressing the truth and the power of the party which worked behind the scene. Providence Provides.

Finally the first arrest made by CBI, Still Kottayam Diocese leaders trying to protect the culprits which accumulates shame on Knanaya followers. Obnoxious little weeds are there always in any beautiful Garden, Kottayam Diocese could have helped in the investigation to capture the culprits rather than protecting them which would have increased the image and trust on them. This incident sheds light on the anarchy of the Diocese. The lack of restraint on the part of the religious leaders, the so called Shepherds, would result in the trust and belief of the community vanishing into thin air.

What the problem here with the christian church is that,it has a vast majority of believers which believe that all its clergymen is never sin and that they are a bit above the layman or common man.And these clergymen try to utilize this belief to save them from the law and to cover up their sins.Infact the top christian political leaders had used their influence for them.We should be clever to understand this.Still the top officials of the Kerala Catholic church stick on the allegations that ’some powers’ and CBI are trying to sack the ‘poor priests’ a ‘poor nun’!! As a catholic I am really ashamed to see and hear all these because THEY REALLY KNOW THESE CLERGYMEN R THE REAL CULPRITS’!!!Why do they try to cover up the TRUTH they preach and MISLEAD the PUBLIC? As the High court said In the GOD’S court they will be convicted…GOD Please do not forgive them since ” They know what they are doing”…

Like Abel in Genesis “Abhayayude raktham enne vilichu karayunnu”. I think God could not withstand this cry anymore. So He intervened directly. Earlier, Abhaya’s family needed mass support. The culprits never needed it as they had the power, money and people. Now the culprits are organising mass protests, notices, prayer meetings, etc. Are these culprits believers of God? No chance, because, God will never listen to the prayers to conceal the truth. Then to whom they are praying? (even under CBI custody)? So who is guiding them? It is the Satanic forces. These forces will take the culprits and their supporters to the “lake of fire” as promised in the Holy Bible. So decide your destiny today.
How about Sr Abhaya? Lost her life for resisting an evil?
This is the highest sacrifice possible on earth. So she is really a Saint. Those who have ears, listen.

please remember and be realists before accusing. The Indian law states that an accused is not guilty till proven in the court of law.
They havent been proven and you all have already made them guilty. please let law take its course even if its a long course.
Comment by christy — December 15, 2008 @ 5:40 pm
Its very pathetic that some guys still plead for the accused!! Why on earth you people wont notice that why nobody is raising voice for the normal people and layman when they are accused ..All should be equal before law and Indian Penal Code..Its very agonizing that these Bishops and their blind supporters have not raised their ‘voices’ when this poor sister was brutally hacked to death..No Human rights issue was there after her death was turned into suicide then!!
REALIZE MAN!!

The arrests of these 3 “Workers for God” has clearly put a nail in the coffin of the Catholic Church Belief. As we all know the Catholic Church is really worried about their the so-called “3 Innocent Workers”, than bringing the real culprits of the death of Sr. Abhaya.
Also, I think it is high time that the Catholic Church should take a decision in allowing Priests & Nuns getting into marital relationships, as that of some other Christian denominations. This & Only this can solve this problem in the long run.

God is always great. Now the culprits are out and many more to come. These maniacs enjoyed their lives cheating the community for so long. I am so ashamed to become a part of it being a christian hailing from Kottayam.
Now when the witnesses talking about the escapades of Kottoor and puthrukkayil and the sister Sefi(The pro in divine), I feel vomitting for respecting these animals for so long.
Catholics in India need stricter controls and need to be trained properly. They are now a business like many christian groups.

God is powerful above all. That’s what is proven in the latest developments. Being a catholic, hats off to our CM of kerala, who amidst lots of trials had the courage to take this action after the so long 16 yrs… hats off to jomom puthenpurackal too who spent 16 yrs of life for a right cause…a good Samaritan…its not yet time to accuse anyone guilty as per law, but all will be paid off eventually in the court of God, not only for shedding the blood of an innocent person who gave her life to God and catholic community, but also to all who schemed to suppress/destroy the evidences & justice…Also cheers to the one who resigned from CBI unable to withstand the pressure. This man at least stood away from tampering justice though he couldn’t pave way for any arrest…
Did u guys see any placards/ road march by our nuns and bishops to find the culprit behind fellow nun’s death?????????

Hello All,
What sort of High Court Judge is J. Hema? Why is she worried about virginity test conducted on a nun? Is a nun unlike other citizen? Why does the court reveal the confidential nature of the investigation by reading aloud portions of it in open court? Very unusual procedure!!
Priests and nuns are ordinary citizen like us. I am sure if it was an ordinary man who was being tried, High Court would not have been praying for “Father forgive them, they know not what they do”. Shameful.
There are people who are aware of correct judicial principles and who can understand the eagerness of people to grant bail and criticize CBI who has done wonders in this case.
Thanks
Vincent
Comment by Vincent — January 3, 2009 @ 9:38 am
Yes, the nun is like any other citizen, but there is no reason for a ‘virginity test’ or anything like that. That is absurd.
Comment by Domestic Avalanche — January 3, 2009 @ 9:30 pm
Also, how did the confidential secret confessions/statements etc always end up in the media? Whoever is the culprits, all the CBI is now doing is a media circus.
Comment by Domestic Avalanche — January 3, 2009 @ 9:37 pm
I dont understand why the diocease and other priests are most worried when it comes to the fact that the truth will be revealed. It should have been fair had the church responded saying leave it to the investigation team and LET HIM JUDGE rather than accusing medias, CBI teams , judiciaries, Forensic people, Postmartem doctor. Are they trying to fool. If Jesus Christ were to come down to earth for a second time HE will defintiely shoot these culprits with AK 47 or kalshnikov guns for defaming the Christian community and misleading people in the name of Jesus
Comment by Cyriac Kandenkerril — January 13, 2009 @ 1:56 am
Let the priests marry the nuns and procreate. This will increase the catholic population [natural, without any forced conversion]and decrease the sexual assault.

Christanity is a big blunder.. its Osho’s word… pooor kunjadukal… poor nuns.. u are not safe in your place… why this crcodile tears for missionary attacks some where in India
Comment by John Mathai — January 30, 2009 @ 12:50 am
It is an open secret that priests and nuns do indulge in physical relationships. It is not a sin; when you can kill and eat animals, you can as well indulge in such mundane pleasures…they are not neutralising their sexual instincts with yogic exercises or diet. To kill someone is a crime committed by some criminal priests and nuns…but to shield the killers is an act that is being done by a church that is as goos as a mafia. Shame on the church!

It is very obvious that all regions are created by narrow minded human beings. Mafias are controlling these relegions since their birth. All religions were spread by force. We should have only one religion – that is love. God does not support hate.
Comment by Joy Francis, Doha — June 6, 2009 @ 3:08 pm
Religion, rituals, rites might be wrong or even boring, but GOD is not!!!
The three accused may be close friends of God,but God still sits on His throne.
Lastly, blasphemy- an ultimate sin.So people watch out when you make a public statement about God.

At every crime scene, the criminal unwittingly leaves clues behind, and also takes things away. This is so true. But does any of you know why the priests and the nun were suspected in this case ? I just couldn’t find any related info on web. Anyone?
Comment by Beena — September 15, 2009 @ 11:52 pm
this whole case is pathetic
it is sooo obvious to anyone with ears and half a sense what happnd to Sr.Abaya.
Those 3 shudnt be wearing the clothes they do…preaching all sorts of shit and then doing this in the sidelines ? i dont think annyone wud juge them if they were to leave priesthood and the nummery coz they cudnt control themselves .
but to do this …….. and then kill to cover up ???
how patheic … they r a disgrace to the rest of the faithful n reglious nuns in the world ….
one more reason for me to feel i dont need to listen to all thses ppl blab … who can u trust these days ? makes me sick .
i got married ….. they shud have done the same too …. got married but remaind a religious person if they cannot deal with the rigours of celibacy .
read the bible 4 gods sake ….. everything will come to light one day ..
really dumb their futile attempts are
and for the rest of the asshole who helpd coverd it up and wasted god knows how much money …. how futile ur attemps now seem
n the church shud know better than to cover up … admit and stay away .. osterise them … ater all not all nuns n priest have such low charars
gods looking down … and sr abhayas rite beside him
really we cud pray 2 her now to resolve things that just wont reslove .
rip now abhaya… the medias a tiger these days … the long awaited end is near .

Hello friends,
I am a Catholic. I have been in and out of the Catholic church. We all many a time forget that GOD is there all the time. Regarding the accusations there is a possibility that such a thing could have happened because we all are human… Baseless allegations should not be made. Remember, you can allow 1000 accused to escape but you should not make an innocent one suffer… that does not mean that all culprits can escape… GOD is watching. He will decide what is to be done and HE will act surely according to their deeds. There is a clear line of demarcation between state and religion. All should undergo trial as is required and follow the norms for justice to be done. Lets all pray…….

Hi
These type of people are there in all religions. e.g Kanchikamakodi Peedathipati. These people should be punished without any delay. But if one has to believe media reports even a former chief justice of Karnataka tried to tamper the evidence.
Comment by Rajesh Chauhab — January 9, 2010 @ 12:42 pm
its a real shame that the killers are yet not punished. nobody knows the state of the investigation now, media is not saying anything. we need a vigilante group to punish these kind of still free roaming high status people because our laws are unable to do it.
