Hi, I am Kenney Jacob, love blogging about Education, Media hypocrisy and Social Issues.

    Airtel Vodafone Iphone

Airtel and Vodafone are all set for the final kill with both of them announcing prices and dates for Iphone launch. When the most awaited Iphone comes to India tomorrow, most of us are disappointed. The pricing matches business class phones.

The 8GB version is priced at Rs 31000 and the 16 GB version is priced at Rs 36100. Both prices are a disapponitment considering the fact that my friend owns an Iphone which he unlocked and it only cost him 20000.

In the US AT&T is selling Iphone with a 2 year contract for 199$ (~ Rs 9000). Even the unlocked phones there costs only some close to Rs 25000. Then why should I buy from Airtel of Vodafone ?

Both the operators have started sending out SMS and emails to those who have booked the phones. Vodafone is asking for a deposit of  Rs 10000 to get the phone before other do. Looks like they are squeezing it out.

Now whats left to see is that, how many will spend that much money on a phone, which is already having a negative review in the Indian market.

    1. hey kenney, IPhone is not worth other mobiles I heard. It has os compatibilty issue I heard, Windows Vs MAC. ???
Its features compared to other normal phones are not up to the price. It does not have dual camera support. Also some other features are not seen.
I also heard file transfer is possible among IPhones, not to any other phones from IPhone.
I am thinking, what is the money spend worth for??
      am i right about IPhone?

    2. iPhone is definitely not worth that price and considering the drawbacks of iPhone, N95 is currently much better than iPhone. Nokia has already announced that N96 would be available in India first.

    4. That is the reason I went and bought my self an N95 8GB. I think only the N96 surpasses N95 8GB – otherwise except for the touch screen, i-Phone is no match for Nokia…

    6. The credits goes to iphones marketing teams..with a single mobile they challenged the entire mobile market..
As of my knowledge, iPhone does not have/capabilities for, video capturing, FM Radio, forward messages, send business cards, Java, exchanging multimedia files via bluetooth, MMS, delivery reports for sms, installing third party applications without using iTunes App Store, Customization of themes&ringtones….
