Sometimes the LDF government is too much. I was not surprised when I heard that the Government wants to take over the Trivandrum Golf Club. Its what they do, take over all the working stuff and then destroy it. The people of Kerala are kinda used to it.
But I couldnt stop laughing when I heard their reason to take over the golf club. It should be the joke of the year. The government wants every common man to play golf and not just the 200 or so current members. Now we will see our CM and his Polit Bureau enemies playing golf and resolving their internal issues.
I have a friend who plays golf regularly in the golf club. Today we had a talk about the game and I was quite surprised to know that I didnt know anything about Golf. Since our people loving Government wants every common man to be a golfer, its a must that we learn the rules of the game. The following link will help you get started.
http://golf.about.com/od/rulesofgolf/a/golfrules.htm
After having read this, and you still wanna play golf, Id sugggest that you go and join the DYFI or the SFI where they have special coaching classes for Golf.
A small advice for the LDF coalition. Everyone knows that you are no longer a party of the poor. So stop acting like one. The public may be donkeys now, but not forever.

I think Govt. Of Kerala should take over every private company and establishments in Kerala and make them accessible to the ‘common man’. Every flight that lands anywhere in Kerala should belong to Govt. Of Kerala and everyone should travel on flight. Even if you go to market to buy some vegetables, they should travel on flight.
I don’t want to comment more on f001$.
Talking about Flights landing in Kerala, this is a must read for everybody:

Dear Kenneyji….
I am not at all a supporter of Left Govt and is ofcourse against take over attempt of this golf club….. But I feel one thing… Actually there is no Need of Golf Club in Kowdiar area today…… Because its only very very few members of this golf club actually play golf there…. Most of people there are senior citizens, and they trend to use the golf club as mere club, not for playing golf….. I know personally, because recently in my last visit to Trivandrum, I happened to visit the club with my uncle….. I heard from their talks, that very rarely people play golf there……..
In modern world, golf is popular among business men as well as technocracts….. If one checks the existence of golf centres in other parts of the world, , most of the popular golf clubs today near to promient business hubs or airports or near free zones/techno-zones areas…… Not in pucca residential area like Kowdiar…..
This TVM Golf club was part of Royal Family’s games and sports in olden days…. In those days, it was mainly diwans, peskhkars, british lords who used to play this game…… All these people used to live in Kowdiar area….. I used to hear from my Grandmother whose father was then-the Palace Secretary, used to say, the golf club was the biggest recreation hub for all the Palace officials and British officials of Royal Court…..So there was a meaning for having the club there…..
But today most of the people living there, are business men, ministers and senior citizens…… Very rarely people from this category today plays the golf….These people use it more as a club than playing golf.
Rather the actual players of golf in trivandrum today stays near technopark and other developing hubs of the town, where more new youngsters from executive class are living….. having Golf areas in these areas would be useful for actual playing…..
I suggest the government must grant some land in any upcoming business hubs of the town and use the current golf club centre as Cultural-Heritage Hub, as it serves a purpose in that area…… In a town like Thiruvanthapuram, most of the cultural-heritage events are patronized or graced by Royal Family…… A cultural hub in the heart of Royal Headquaters, would serve the meaning and essence, rather than playing politics over the golf club……
I suggest a golf club of international standards must in some area near the proposed Trivandrum Airport-Technopark link roads, so as it could serve a real meaning of golf………
I am worried about tennis club!!!!
hehe
Waiting to see Gauriamma, Pappikutti, aarogya manthri all playing tennis. oohhh…
Kerala renaming soon.. Golf’s own country.
Infact, Golf is the modern form of our old’ GOLI kali” na! So Govt might have thought about giving a chance to our ppl to play the game!
Trivandrum city development minister’s daily schedule. start the day with a ‘pulakuli’ (pooja after death)..drop little tears and have a nice break fast with idly, vada, and payasam. then till 12 pm series of inaugurations ‘laddu’ and ‘karikkin vellam’. Now rushing to the marriages- photo section..colgate smile and lavish sadya..after a nab again inaugurations, karikkin vellam, paripuvada and chaya…evening is the time for house warming sections..fried rice and chilly chicken… thus ends a glorious day..he deserves at least a game of golf ..kenney..what r u saying..cholesterol and diabetes is not your family property….
