Today I Opened the Assissi magazine (Christian magazine) and was surprised to see an advertisement. Chavara Matrimony (matrimony site for Christians) is conducting a Marriage Fair. The event is called “Mega Marriage Fair”.
Now, for my readers from the western world, We do things a bit different here. We dont have dating sites, instead we have matrimonial sites. Both are the same, but in a matrimonial site people end up getting married. So is this marriage fair an Indian adaptation of blind dating groups ?
I dont know how a marriage fair works cos ive never attended one. For those who dont believe, you can check my DOB in the about me page. But the advertisement says “Its your golden chance to find a suitable life partner”. Hmmmm Im going to imagine how it will be…
Will it be like different stalls for different girl categories ? software stall, nurses stall, NRI stall, govt employed stall, teachers stall, jobless stall etc…. And men will walk by looking at the items in display, Will there be resumes ? Or is it like “Swayam Varam”
Or will be it like stalls for men… ahh I dont want to think that way…. my ego wont let me think that way.
If anyone has experience attending marriage fairs, please comment

This is just lunacy. These (respected)Fr.’s who run this marriage bureau (chavara) dont even know the essence of marriage life. Guess you cant expect much with people without experience..can you!

I have an experience. I attend the Chavara Mega marriage meet conducted on 2008 march 15 at Baranganam Church Pala. This is the very good opportunity i got from Chavara. I Found 7 Female Parents and Talk to them.
I think you have mistaken about mega marriage meet of Chavara Matrimony.com. This is well arranged Program. Program Starts on 10 am. First Program is Inaugural Ceremony. Inaugurated By Mani Sir, MLA, PALA. Second section LCD Display I can see the girls Photo & Short Details through LCD. I Noted Three Candidates to See. After the display i issued to the list their executives. Next Section is Lunch. After the Lunch i got one List i want to see. I think 7 list in that. I given only 3 but another 4 females interested to talk me. When i enter in to the hall i can see tables arranged for females like, F1, F2. If i want to see Roll Number F1. I want to go Table number F1. I seen 7 females.
This is the veru good & well arranged Program. My Marriage is also fixed through chavara matrimony.com not by mega marriage meet. but through their site
If you are single, register with chavara matrimony.com and find your dream one
