How we celebrated Harthal

Yesterday was a Harthal. For my non Indian readers, Ill explain what a is. It is a celebration, with is announced as a surprise mostly by the political parties in India. And this is used as a means to acknowledge all the bad policies of the government by destroying some vehicles and buildings.</p>

For most of the people its a holiday. Families stay at home enjoying the togetherness forced on them. Its an opportunity for the busy working class families to have some time together with their kids and do some homely stuff together.</p>

But with bachelors like us harthals used to be a nightmare because getting food becomes difficult. But with this we found an excellent way to celebrate it. All the good hotels will have their restaurants open. But none will notice that they are open.</p>

So we all went to Swagath for breakfast, Maurya Rajadhani for lunch and Muthoot for dinner. All the three were . We literally turned the boring day into a .</p>
