We conducted the first barcamp in Kerala on Nov 24th and it created an interest among many in informal events. A few of my MBA friends conducted a management barcamp on Dec 16th. Some of my friends in colleges now wants to join the informal action.
We were discussing about informal gatherings for the student community and my friend Hari came up with a name, “BarCamp Junior”. Now that sounds like a cool name for a cool event.
Engineering students in Trivandrum are planning a Junior Barcamp, exclusively for students. The aim is to discuss technology trends that are digestible for the student community.
I hope to see more and more events like this from the student community, its a dream come true for me, a very technology aware engineering student community. These are the first steps and I wish them all success.
