I have recently been reading quite a lot of articles pertaining to the mess in which the Indian Education System is. Last article by Kenny -What Does Engineering Students Need - Evangelisation ?

Not only are the Engineering students affected, this problem of direction less kid’s cut’s across all streams and is because of the flawed education system that we have, which gives opportunities to copy machines rather than innovators. Starting from the choice that a kid is given for his carrier -Engineer/Doctor – Is There Another Scenic Route? to the way the marks are compared (Towards a better system of scholastic evaluation) the social pressure on the student to succeed is just too much for them to handle. And just to satisfy the needs of the society students (What I think of Education in India…) everybody involved in this process starts to look for loopholes. Now we have reached a stage were everybody involved in the educational process is exploiting these loopholes to the maximum and blaming each other. But the end product is most of the graduates termed “Unemployable”? or Not fit for technical education.

It is time everyone sat down and rethink/redesign our educational system. It is time we promote Talent, Interest and Creativity and most of all make our students broadminded thinking being’s and not narrow minded robot’s.
