Wibree is a PAN (Personal Area Networking) technology
Zigbee is a mesh networking technology
Wibree is more power efficient
Zigbee has got more range
Wibree’s data transfer rate is 1 Mbps
Zigbees Data transfer rate is 250 Kbps
Wibree has got a star topology
Zigbee has got a mesh topology
Wibree uses bluetooth radio and can co-exist with bluetooth
Zigbee needs its own special radio and has got no relationship with bluetooth

This is a gross oversimplification of the two technologies. Because it is clear you favor Wibree I’ll focus only what mistakes you made in summarizing ZigBee and assume that you know Wibree well:
- ZigBee is also in fact a “PAN technology”
- Not only does ZigBee have a better range, it has a superior ability to use Routers to form large networks that is very much worth noting
- ZigBee can be organized into three topologies: the star topology, the cluster-tree topology, and the peer-to-peer (or mesh) topology
Additionally, your comment on the radios, while somewhat accurate, is made almost irrelevant by the fact that the implementation of ZigBee technology is extremely simple and low-cost. ZigBee was built on the back of the IEEE 802.15.4 standard specifically for Low Rate WPAN (LR-WPAN) and had this application in mind from day one, unlike Bluetooth.
Please investigate this further…
Thanks.
Thanks for the correction.
I am in not favour of wibree, but it has more potential to be adopted easily cos it can ride on the bluetooth wave.
