Recently I had a discussion with the admin of www.mytechnopark.com which is a forum for the technopark techies. There are many interesting topics under discussion there, also some information for the newbies in technopark. Some gossips also.
The discussion was about making the site more useful the to the technopark crowd, and about ways to increase the membership. Many options were discussed and made some decisions.
The forum had around 900 members, the admin announced that he will distribute sweets when the membership hits 1000. With in 2 weeks the membership became thousand. Sweets were distributed.
But the admin did a smart thing. He printed out cards almost like visiting cards, and on it was printed www.mytechnopark.com The Sweets were pinned on these cards. On the day of distribution, there were 200 new members.
The admin is now trying to provide some useful service to the members. Hope to see some action there.
